Exhibiting a quintessential Art Deco style, this pair of bookends features an L-shaped alabaster base made of two perpendicular elements set at a 90-degree angle. It is adorned with cast white metal (spelter/régule) sculptures of Sealyhman Terrier, cold-painted to achieve an ‘enameled’ or varnished effect. Beautiful patina. England, circa 1920.
