A Sampler of antique Grand Tour marbles in the shape of a banner. A selection of 10 colored profiled marbles (Breccia Pernice, Lumachella, Porphyry, Giallo Antico, Bianco e Nero, Alabaster, Verde Alpi, Broccatello Rosato, Agata, Breccia Violetta), inserted into rectangular bronze stencils and secured to a wooden panel. At the four corners, there is a gilded bronze flower-shaped decoration with petals, with a lapis lazuli cabochon set in the center. At the top, there is a thick bronze ribbon with a circular element in the center, decorated in relief with a lapis cabochon. At the lower base, there is a bronze leaf-shaped finish. The back of the frame features larch wood parts. Italy, early 19th century.
