A taxidermy specimen of the Hemachatus hemachatus (Bonnaterre 1790) snake, a genus of snake in the Elapidae family, commonly known as the cobra. Speimen from Natural History laboratory in attack attitude. The specimen is fixed to a round hammerwood base, supported by three brass bands with cylindrical spacers. Italy, circa 1890.
