A very large branch of Mediterranean gorgonian (Melithaea albitinicta, has a densely branched fan-shaped stem and usually grows in a single plane, of the family Gorgoniidae, phylum Cnidari.), Fan-shaped of beje color from Wunderkammer. The base is made of pine wood carved in the shape of a vase. Italy, circa 1870.
