An 18th/19th Century slightly Stained boxwood briar box carved as a squatting gentleman with sulphur glass eyes. The figural snuff box depicts a fashionably dressed man, discretly ‘doing his business’. The back opens up revealing the tobacco reservoir. The interior is lined with tortoiseshell. France, early 19th century.
