An oil genre painting on Paesina. The frame, made of ebonized fruit wood, has a square shape with a circular signature inside that flares out towards the inside to house the painting, finished with a double smooth gilded brass edge. Inside, on a well-chosen panel of village stone (limestone concrete – Limestone – compact and clay – clay) a genre scene which, taking advantage of the evocative veins of the stone, depicts the lock of a port from which a sailing ship departs sails gathered. On the right a building (lighthouse?), on the left an urbanized landscape with a moored boat. Made in oil on stone. Italy, first half of the 19th century.
