Art Nouveau walking stick. The knob is made of ebonized boxwood, finely carved, depicting a group of jellyfish, made of bell-shaped silver with their tentacles and filaments flowing in a swirl among the waves. Ebony wood shaft, bovine horn ferrule. Silver band, signed Vincenzo Capello. The Capello brothers, Vincenzo and Luigi, opened their jewelry business in Turin in 1846 and achieved success, winning a bronze medal, in 1853 in New York. In 1865, Capello opened a second shop in Florence. In 1918 Guglielmo Capello was awarded the title of “Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy. Turin, Italy circa 1910.
