Round snuffbox, made out of gold, ivory and tortoiseshell. Purely neoclassic, the surfaces are plain. The base shows a rim round shaped. Same and symmetrical profile also on the cover. When opened, the snuffbox reveals inside the tortoiseshell veneer linin. The cover is enriched by a miniature gold framed. The miniature is realized using the grisaille technique and depicts the mythological scene of Mars in love that offer arm and armor to the beautiful Venus. Cupid completes the scene.
