An elegant 1900 ca. gentleman’s walking cane featuring an ornate repoussé and chased silver knob handle. The mushroom-shaped pommel is intricately decorated with Neo-Baroque/Rococo foliate scrolls, acanthus motifs, and floral flourishes arranged along distinct vertical panels. The sturdy shaft is crafted from dark ebony wood with a smooth, satin finish, fitted at the bottom with its original protective ferrule in horn and metal. An example of the art of stickmanship. Italy circa 1900.
